WHAT IS HIKO THREAD LIFT?
HIKO™ thread lift is a minimally invasive procedure to enhance the appearance of the nose by using fine absorbable threads which stimulates your own collagen.
The threads are called Polydioxanone (PDO) and Polycaprolactone (PCL) and it allows the sharpening and straightening of the nose and the nose tip. The result is natural and long lasting.
AM I SUITABLE FOR THE TREATMENT?
The procedure is suitable for anyone who does not want to go under the knife but wants to improve the appearance of their nose. This is also suitable for those with fillers injected previously but would like to sharpen and further enhance their nose.
HOW IS THE PROCEDURE DONE?
PDO or PCL threads are placed just above the bone in the deep tissues of the nose under local anaesthesia. The threads stimulates natural collagen production while it gradually dissolves over a period of up to 2 years, depending on the type of threads that will be used. The new collagen build up maintains the new enhanced appearance for up to 4 years!
The procedure is about 30 minutes and you are able to return to normal activities immediately.
IS THE TREATMENT PAINFUL?
The procedure is virtually painless after the application of local anesthesia.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER THE TREATMENT?
The results are instant. There may be minimal swelling and bruising which may last for up to 5 to 7 days.
We advise that patients apply healing cream for 1 week and wear sunblock/sun protection to prevent post-treatment pigmentation/darkening.
